The party is on for New Years night!!!!  By now, your invitations are out, your house is clean (hopefully!) and all you have to do is finish up any last minute shopping!   Here is the deal....if you are still debating on what you need to do to make sure your party is "as good as it gets" then I want to provide you with some last minute ideas, especially since diets do not begin until Monday!! Whoo...hooo!  Forget those resolutions...the final minutes are counting down until everyone and their mother hits the gym.  :)

Top 5 New Years Food Favorites....

5.  "This is an oldie, but such a goodie."  "Tried but True."  "As good as gold."  Okay, enough of the clichés....they are so last year!  Really though, I am talking about shrimp cocktail.   Can we go wrong serving this?  NO, and get some cute serving dish too to make this dish dazzle!

4.  Dips....mmm....yummy!!  You all know that I grew up in Maryland...so in my own crabby style (not always!), I am serving up this favorite crab dip!  It seems that I am not the only person who has deemed this a favorite, considering that hundreds of people have reviewed this dish.  FYI..DO NOT FORGET TO ADD OLD BAY TO THIS!!! 

3.  NEW YEARS CHAMPAGNE COCKTAILS!!  Make life a little fun, please!  Throw in a strawberry...have some blueberry's that guests can drop in their bubbly!  Heck, top those cocktails off with a bit of Grand Marnier!  I found some great options on champagne cocktails here, where they review the top 50!  As everyone says, and it is so very true...Drink Responsibly!

2. Stock up on Brie or Camembert cheeses...they go great with Champagne!

1.  Dessert!!!  MMM....like I said...for some of you, this may be your last chance to INDULGE!  Go with chocolate!  My recommendation?  I have to say one of my favorite cheesecakes (yes, and it has chocolate in it!) is Hershey's Deluxe Marbled Cheesecake.  I can't tell you how many people have asked for this recipe when I have made this!  You cannot go wrong with this!
