3 Easy Hors D'oeurves/Appetizers for the Holidays!

P1010105.JPG

Let's talk Hors D'oeurves!  Parties abound and I have to say that one of my favorite things at these parties is to pop some delicious Hors D'oeurves in my mouth!   Of course, it can be a bit less fun if you are the one preparing these tasty treats.  Hopefully these 3 ideas will make your life a little easier if you are hosting a party within the next couple of weeks.

Super Simple Smoked Salmon Treat

Ingredients:

Smoked Salmon

Cream Cheese

Dill

Capers

Shallots

Water Crackers

Caviar (optional)

How To:

Mix Cream Cheese and Dill, place on water cracker.  Add Smoked Salmon on top, drop a couple of capers and shallots on that bad boy and you have an amazing Hors D'oeurves.  Decorate on a plate with Caviar, if you like.

So Easy and Pleasy Brie Treat

Ingredients:

Brie

Your favorite preserve (raspberry, apricot, strawberry)

How To:

Preheat 350. Grease a pie plate, place brie on bottom and top with preserve.  Cook 30 min and place on a buttery cracker!

Mini and Mighty Meatballs (make a bit smaller than shown in the pic)

Ingredients:

1 lb. lean ground beef

1 egg

2 Tbsp. water

1/2 c. bread crumbs

1/4 c. minced onion

1/2 tsp. salt

1/8 tsp. pepper

freshly grated parmesan cheese

How To:

Preheat 350.  In bowl combine egg, water, bread crumbs, onion, salt and pepper.  Add ground beef, and use your hands to mix.  Form into mini-meatballs and cook 20-25 minutes until meatballs are not pink in the center.  Place toothpicks in the meatballs and serve on a platter.  Garnish with some parmesan cheese, if you like.

Enjoy these, just as much as you enjoyed my silly names!
